Why I Chose Dentistry
Improving one’s appearance improves their quality of life. Improving one’s mouth function alleviates pain and discomfort and improves nutrition. I chose dentistry because both are primary aspects of dental care. Oral health plays a key role in overall health – both mentally and physically – and I’m honoured to have found a profession that addresses both.
Practice Philosophy
My healthcare philosophy is to provide the best evidence-based care using the most recent and up-to-date techniques while focusing on a patient-centred approach that is tailored specifically to each individual’s needs and wants. My main focus is to help my patients achieve their oral health goals in a friendly and professional manner which raises my patients’ self-confidence. And that is truly gratifying. I also enjoy alleviating people’s anxieties about going to the dentist by ensuring they’re comfortable in our caring environment.
Personal Time
While studying at McMaster University in Hamilton and at the University of Toronto, I knew I wanted to practice in a smaller community and Kirkland Lake fit the bill – small, friendly, and it allows me to provide care to a wide demographic. And of course, our surrounding nature provides many opportunities for outdoor activities like exploring nature, hiking, biking, rollerblading, and travelling. In my spare time at home, I like to cook and try new foods and listen to music or watch a movie.
